New Exhibition in Versoix / Nouvelle Exposition à Versoix

Hi all!!

New exhibition set for Versoix later this week. The whole thing seems to have happened so fast, it's hard to believe it. Musee Rath ended well (23rd Oct.),  and there were highs as well as lows but it was altogether a great experience and one I would repeat if the chance came up.

The Versoix exhibition starts on 2nd November 2011 - yes, this Wednesday -  and ends on the 6th November 2011.
The vernissage scheduled for Wednesday evening from 6pm onwards at the Salle Communale (Adrien Lachenal) de Versoix.
The good news is I will be exhibiting more than one artwork (as was the case in Rath) and I should be present on site at various intervals during the event including Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So I hope to see you there.

How to get there? By train: take the regional trains which leave twice an hour from platform (voie) 1 at Cornavin (17.33hrs and 18.03hrs and so on). Get off at "Versoix" and walk out under the bridge and towards the Migros. Turn right from the entrance of the Migros and wallk up for about four minutes. The Salle Communale de Versoix - a large structure with flags is on your right, opposite the school.
The trip takes about 15 minutes.

If you are coming by car, drive towards Versoix (direction Lausanne). The easiest way is probably to take the road in front of the World Trade Organisation which is on Rue de Lausanne and drive straight down past the UN beach etc. Follow the indications and turn off at Versoix which is after the roundabout. Turn right just before the Migros and go up to towards the Salle Communale. There are plenty of parking spaces there.

j'ai le plaisir de vous informer que ma nouvelle exposition aura lieu a partir de ce mercredi, le 2 novembre au Salle Communale (Adrien Lachenal) de Versoix. Le vernissage aura lieu le meme jour à partir de 18h.

En effet, cette fois-ci, je vais exposer plusieurs tableaux et je serai presente le jour du vernissage ainsi que le Vendredi, Samedi et Dimanche pour discuter avec le public.
Cette exposition est trés differente de celui du Musee Rath pour diverses raisons et j'espere que vous allez venir constanter pourquoi.

Rath Museum exhibition / Exposition au Musée Rath

One of my canvases (above) is  currently showing at the Rath Museum as part of the "Rathanians" exhibition which runs from 22nd September - 23 October 2011. It is an exciting opportunity to show art from those living in the city and wishing to express their artistic talent. From the experimental to the sublime to the banal, there is something for everyone to see and appreciate.

Art afterall is very personal, very subjective and so very much about how it connects with the viewer. I have found the exhibition to be incredible, not quite what I expected and also promises more, the more you view it, the more you are likely to discover something about it you like.

So, in honour of my business cards left in my exhibition space, I am creating this space where some of my work can be seen. I will of course do my best to update as time goes by.

Actuellement, un de mes tableaux (ci-dessus) est exposé au Musée Rath. Il fait partie de l'exposition "Rathanians" qui a lieu entre le 22nd September - 23 October 2011. C'est une occasion trés interessant de montrer l'art et la vision artistique de personnes vivant dans cette ville. On peut tout voir - les oeuvres d'art experimentaux, banales, ou excitant. Il y a quelque chose pour tout le monde.

Aprés tout, il faut pas oublier que l'art est trés personnel, assez subjectif et on l'apprecie mieux quand la personne en face comprend ce que l'artiste est en train de dire ou faire. Personnellement, je trouve l'expo formidable. Ce n'est pas du tout comme je l'ai imaginé et je crois que le plus qu'on peut visiter les 5 salles, le plus facile il sera de decouvrir quelquechose d'autre qu'on va aimer encore plus.

A l'honneur de cette exposition, j'ai decidé de créer ce blog où on peut voir certains de mes tableaux. Je vais bien sur ajouter des autres photos de mon travail dans l'avenir. Guardez les yeux bien ouverts!
